Wine Bottles, Window Panes, Picture frame glass
Broken bits and pieces from our treasure drawer that we couldn't throw out.
Saved from the Land Fill
Each glass bottle, pane of glass, is broken and cut with a glass cutter. The pieces tell me what they will be. I arrange them on the kiln shelf and fire them in my jewellery kiln at temperatures around 1600 F. After cooling some edges still have to be ground down. Because this is recycled glass there are some imperfections which add to the character of each piece of art.
